I am a 4th year Electrical Engineering student at The University of British Columbia. I am very passionate and closely follow new and upcoming technology like Mixed Reality. I love doing extra curricular activities outside of my academic requirements. I previously worked at UBC IRP, supporting the Workday implemetation for Business and HR processes for Faculty of Medicine. I also worked at UBC Emerging Media Lab as a Software developer for Volumetric Capture in Medical Training Project. I implemented Teleportation feature using C#,Unity, SteamVR and DepthKit.
I also worked on the Opioid Overdose Response project with Code the Change UBC for University Health Network Toronto. I implemeted the sign-in and authentication feature using JavaScript(NodeJS and ExpressJS), MongoDB and Twilio. I love the idea of Hackathons and till now, I have attended NwHacks 2019/2020/2021 and TreeHacks 2021. I got to learn a lot of new tools and made amazing projects. I am actively looking for Software Engineeing internships for the summer of 2021. I have attached my resume in the link below. Feel free to connect with me !!!
Eddy the Edu Bot was made at a Week-long Hackathon focused on improving education experience during the COVID-19 Pandemic. We used Python, Microsoft Bot Framework, Figma and Adaptive card to code the bot. We implemented the bot for Microsoft Teams and Slack Platforms. For the demo, we integrated Canvas LMS with Microsoft Teams and Slack.
Close ProjectI worked with another remote developer on a project to build the clone of donut.com web site as a part of Chingu Voyage 9 Program. I used HTML, CSS, jQuery and Flexbox to build this clone. This project was selected as the best Tier 1 project during the project showcase.
Close ProjectAs part of the 2nd year Engineering Design course, we were tasked to build a Reflow Oven Controller to bake our own microchips. I assisted in implementing the hardware of the project and built the failsafe switch. I also implemented additional software features which boosted the grades of all team members by 15%. I implemented a Python script using Twilio SMS API to notify user at every step of the Reflow Oven process. I wrote another Python script to capture a screenshot of the graph generated and send it to user’s email at the end of the Reflow Oven process using SendGrid API.
Close ProjectUBC is undergoing a Systems Transition from PeopleSoft to Workday ERP software for Human resources and Finance Processes. UBC Integrated renewal Program is responsible for this transition. This is the largest implementation of Workday in Education sector and it was implemented remotely during COVID-19 pandemic
I worked as a Workday Learning Rover for the UBC Integrated Renewal Program. I assisted Faculty of Medicine and its 16,000+ end users(Staff, Students and Faculty) in the Systems Transition to Workday ERP software. I hosted Workshops and support sesions using Zoom and Canvas LMS. I also built dashboards using Excel, Powerpoint and APIs to share progress with team lead.[more information in resume]

I worked on a project for Universty Health Network Toronto, to build an Opioid Overdose Response Application. We built a web app to provide opioid users with timely responses from a group of respondents and the emergency services. I used MongoDB, React, ExpressJs, NodeJS (MERN Stack) and Twilio API for implementing text messaging functionality for authentication purposes. I also deployed the prototype on AWS environment to test response time of the prototype [more information in resume].
About Code the Change Fondation UBC
UBC Emerging Media Lab is experimental space where faculty, staff and studenst work to evolve learning by creating tools and techniques using emerging media. It is modelled after the MIT Media Lab
I worked on a project in collaboration with MedIT, to develop interactive lectures to help students at remote locations receive a rich interactive learning experience using Virtual Reality technology and volumetric video capture technology. I used tools like Unity, Depthkit, SteamVR, and C# language to add teleportation and head movement functionality to the user, to reduce VR motion sickness. I also tested the demo and presented the project at UBC EML Summer Showcase 2019 [more information in resume].
